Caring for Country - A Collective Approach

At Indigital, Caring for Country means more than environmental stewardship, it’s about fostering deep, enduring relationships between people, land, and industry. Through our Caring for Country program, we partner with materials companies to support community prosperity throughout the entire lifecycle of a mine or renewable project and beyond.

By integrating First Nations knowledge with advanced technologies, we take a systems-thinking approach that ensures every element of a project is interconnected and mutually reinforcing. This holistic approach not only meets immediate project needs but also builds long-term sustainability and resilience, benefiting both the environment and the communities that call it home.

Our Foundations: The Stories that Shaped Us

Our journey has been shaped by a series of defining projects that laid the groundwork for the work we do today. While our focus has evolved over time, these past initiatives remain integral to our identity. Each story represents a stepping stone that has helped us build lasting connections, grow our impact, and remain rooted in our core values.

Technology through a cultural lens at Bruny Island

Indigital Schools is a collaborative program where teachers and Elders work together to teach Indigenous cultural knowledge, history and language, and digital skills to the next generation. The Indigital team travelled to Tasmania (lutruwita) to deliver the Indigital Schools program in collaboration with community, and the teachers and students at Bruny Island District School. Connecting with Country at Kemps Creek

Indigital partnered with Microsoft to guide the Connecting with Country process at a $1.3 billion data centre in Kemps Creek, NSW. Building for the future, while respecting history and past and present practices, requires deep collaboration. Indigital worked closely with the Dharug people – the traditional custodians of the land hosting the data centre – to shape the site’s art design in a way that supports cultural connection and inclusion. Watch their story now.
